Raising Cane’s is headed to Chinatown as the popular chicken finger chain expands its footprint across Greater Washington.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, fast-food chain has inked a deal for the former La Tasca space at 722 Seventh St. NW, which has been vacant since that Spanish tapas chain closed abruptly in November 2019. The location is slated to open in fall 2025.

It’s the latest nationally known brand to sign on for space along Seventh Street in Chinatown, among the hardest hit by fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic. Other recent additions include Chick-fil-A, Fuddruckers and Taco Bell.
