Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. We are inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care, and the unwavering determination of the doctors and scientists who work to find the cure.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars, which is why we ask for your support. Rappaport is proud to serve as presenting sponsor in the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one-day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover treatment and prevention methods for Alzheimer’s disease.
This year’s ride will take place on May 4 at Leesburg’s stunning Morven Park in Loudoun County, VA— D.C.’s Wine Country. Last year, Rappaport raised an impressive $52,241 for the Alzheimer’s Association, with a team of 42 riders, 8 of which were Champion Riders- raising over $1,000 each.
This year, we aim to go even further. But we can’t do it without your help! #TeamRapapport is open to anyone who wants to participate and support the cause. You do not have to be an experienced rider or even an employee at Rappaport to join our team. All are welcome, and with each dollar raised, we get one step closer to finding a cure
Apart from the main event, we have a full season of exciting events to get everyone hyped up and rally support. We had a blast at Patsy’s Happy Hour on Wednesday, but there’s more to come. On Thursday, March 14, we have the “Swing to End ALZ Pickleball Tournament” from 2:00-5:00 pm (Backup Weather Date Thursday, March 21) at the Worldgate Athletic Club. Stay tuned for registration information.
On Saturday, April 6, we are hosting the ALZ Ride Event Kickoff at The Dell in Village at Leesburg from 4:00-8:00 pm, which is open to the public. Come join us for some great food, great music, and a great cause. We can’t wait to see you there!
