The team behind the Gyu Shige Japanese BBQ & Bar at the Mosaic District in Fairfax plans to open a high-end sushi restaurant in Pentagon City.
Omacase Japanese Sushi has signed a lease for about 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space at Sage at National Landing, a 306-unit multifamily developed by LCOR Inc. at 480 11th St. S. Bill Li will serve as sushi chef and general manager.
Omacase, a nontraditional spelling of the Japanese word for Omakase, or chef’s choice, is slated to open early next year. Seating will be by reservation only.
