Rappaport competed in last week’s JDRF Real Estate Games. More than 50 Rappaport Employees came sporting their best retro attire to participate in the JDRF Games at American University. Rappaport focused on an 80’s theme to commemorate the decade both Rappaport and the JDRF Games were founded.

The cheering section was loud and the competition was fierce. Rappaport competed in Basketball, Tug-of-War, various running competitions, cornhole, tennis, foosball, table tennis and several other activities. “I had an awesome time competing in 3×3 basketball with my team,” said Zach Elcano, Leasing Associate. “It was great to see everyone so passionate about their team and cheering each other on. We didn’t come up with the W this year but we will be back next year ready to play!”

Together there were over 2,600 participants in the games. This year brought in a record amount of $525,000 raised for JDRF and Type 1 Diabetes Research. “We have a lot of fun coming out here and competing with our colleagues and friends at other companies for a worthy cause such as JDRF and we look forward to it every year,” Said Meredith Spencer, Executive Assistant and one of the JDRF Rappaport Team Captains. “This year we are especially proud to be a part of a record-breaking year and we look forward to seeing what next year has in store”
